charming stay near cultural treasures

I was charmed by the convenient location (it's a gem). the hotel is near several cultural sites like the palace and temples. I enjoyed the easy walks. the staff was very nice. The shaded patio with all the orchids was a great spot to relax in. i also appreciated the room.
the room floor felt constantly dusty. even after cleaning, my feet never felt clean. i suspect the floors are not mopped regularly (it bothered me a bit).

The reception staff provided daily water bottles, shampoo, and coffee. the staff members were helpful and courteous. They gave directions and suggestions. the room was always cleaned very well each day.

I found a good coffee shop nearby. There was also a blues bar for evenings. i enjoyed having multiple restaurant options within a short walk from the hotel (finding food was easy!).

the hotel is close to a pier, giving easy access to boat transport. the hotel has a quiet setting across from a temple. i found it convenient to access main attractions by boat and walking.

compromised privacydusty floor
My room faced the entrance. Every person entering or leaving passed by. Privacy was compromised because the windows faced the bed and toilet. I had to remember to adjust the blinds when using the toilet. the room floor felt constantly dusty. I don't think they mop adequately, even after cleaning.

The room was super clean with daily service. A king SIZE bed was very comfortable. The 24 hr front desk was very helpful when I arrived late at night.
The restaurant was closed though there were many in the area.
